Good News!

I'm actually, really, truthfully now gain fully employed with the Health Region! This means no more picking up shifts or 6 am phone calls. I have a real job! It's a .9 FTE (not quite full time) position on Day Surgery at the Children's Hospital. There are so many perks to it, I can't even begin! No working weekends, statutory holidays, Christmas or New Year's EVER! And even better, last year they were closed overnight for all of July and August (I know, DAY Surgery but they also have kids who just need to stay overnight and sometimes take kids from Emerg if beds are short, which they have been if you've been paying attention to the news recently). So, I'm very excited. I get Benefits and an actual schedule that I'll know indefinitely! Yippee!

I'm also totally pumped to go on my little vacation of sorts to Washington and Toronto! Best part of the whole trip is that I get to see Stephanie (who I miss terribly!), Yay! Totally looking forward to it, even though we're not going anywhere warm or anything.... I mean nothing could compare to a Toronto visit with Steph but Washington wasn't really on my list of places to go. It doesn't really have the same attraction for me as a Canadian as it might for Americans but whatever. I've picked out my shopping destinations and there are a couple museums that are pretty spectacular so it's going to be all good.

Other than that, I've got no more news. I'm working my last weekend coming up here so I'm pretty pumped about that. Catch you all later!
