Amsterdam...
...is really dirty! We've been here for the past couple of days but there is a garbage collectors strike on at the moment so the streets are littered with garbage and refuse. Been busy touring outside of Amsterdam with a friend of Meghan who is from here. We spent some time in Delft, The Hague, Maarken and Vaandam. It was fabulous! I've even tried raw herring (it's actually quite gross) as well as such local delights of Syrup waffles (kind of like gingerbread) and fries with Mayo and today had turkish pizza which is awesome!
London was also quite busy and really hot. The first two days were about 27-30 degrees while our last day there was cooler and raining which was actually quite nice.
Our hostels have been pretty good as well. In LOndon we shared with two girls but here in Amsterdam we have two guys from Plymouth, England and two guys from Spain (we think... they don't talk much). We're both looking forward to spending some time in Paris where we'll have our own private room. Yippee!
Anyways, I'm on a tight email schedule so I'll sign off here. Maybe I will post more once I get to Paris or further along in Italy somewhere!

Wow! You've been to so many places already! It all sounds fun!...except for the garbage strike...that's kinda gross. But mmm...syrup waffles sounds yummy. I've also heard of the fries and mayo thing, but never tried it myself, is it good? Glad you're having fun, it's great to see your updates!
yeah, fries and mayo is a european thing... see it at the bar all the time. Hope you enjoy yourself... you'll love italy... I just got back from europe tonight and already want to go back. May surprise people. but croatia is where I want to go back... the dalmatian coast is beautiful.

yeah, we head to venice tomorrow but I see what you mean about wierd keyboards, Paris has some wierd ones. Im running out of time so Ill try to post more in Italy or Spain!
